The Origins of So Fudge
I have always loved brownies. There was one particular store near my house that made my absolute favorites, but when it closed down, I struggled to find another place in Singapore to satisfy my cravings. Nothing truly compared to what I remembered. That was the moment I decided to take matters into my own hands and learn how to bake them myself.
Perfecting the Signature Texture
Over time, I continuously tweaked and refined my "best brownie" recipe until it perfectly matched my personal preference: a brownie that is dense, rich, and intensely fudgy. I began baking for my friends and family, experimenting with various flavors and toppings. I quickly realized not only how much I genuinely enjoyed the baking process, but that my loved ones were my biggest fans. They constantly encouraged me to turn this passion into something bigger, specifically praising the deep fudginess and texture that have now become my signature.
Turning a Craving into a Business
I eventually asked myself: why not start a brownie business in Singapore that caters specifically to people who love that same dense, indulgent, fudgy style? What began as a personal craving has grown into a journey I am truly passionate about.
How I Curated Our Menu
Fudge Brownies: This is the brownie that started it all, so it was only natural for it to be the foundation of my menu.
Banana Bread Brownies: This flavor is a homage to my mother. She loves banana bread and was always by my side while I was experimenting, providing the essential feedback I needed to improve my recipes.
Chai Brownies: I wanted to incorporate my Indian roots into my craft. In my opinion, chai is a beautiful flavor to infuse into desserts, so I developed a unique spiced chai brownie.
Brookie: This is a tribute to my friends. They played a huge role in critiquing my early batches, helping me achieve the perfect texture that I offer today.
My Commitment to Quality
My goal has always been to create what I truly believe are the Best Brownies in Singapore for anyone who loves a dense, fudgy style. Whether you are sticking to the classics or trying something new, I sincerely hope every bite brings you as much joy as I found in creating them.
